Ameresco Canada has an immediate opening for a Construction Logistics & Inventory Coordinator to oversee the timely and efficient delivery of materials, equipment, and supplies to construction sites, acting as a liaison between vendors, project managers, and site teams to resolve issues and manage inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the procurement, shipment, and receipt of all necessary materials, tools, and equipment.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, monitoring contracts and resolving payment-related issues
- Track and manage on-site inventory levels, ensuring supplies are available when needed and minimizing waste.
- Work with project managers to manage financial elements of a major construction project including but not limited to budgeting, forecasting, invoicing and reconciliation
- Develop and monitor delivery schedules, coordinating with project managers and site personnel to ensure materials arrive on time and as planned.
- Identify and resolve logistical issues, such as delays, damaged goods, or incorrect orders, to keep projects on track. Attend meetings as necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all logistical activities, including purchase documents, shipping manifests, and inventory records.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for drivers and internal teams, providing updates and addressing inquiries related to logistics.
- Assist the project team as necessary
- Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have experience in planning, scheduling and/or project coordination for construction projects.
Additional Qualifications:
- Proficiency with MS Project or Primavera.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Construction and Field experience an asset.
