About the role
As the global leader in high-speed connectivity, Ciena is committed to a people-first approach. Our teams enjoy a culture focused on prioritizing a flexible work environment that empowers individual growth, well-being, and belonging. - Develop relationships with key buyers and supply chain decision-makers across regions and verticals.
- Prepare and present commercial offers, negotiate pricing, and coordinate logistics to close transactions efficiently.
- Maintain strong cross-functional collaboration with Product Line Management (PLM), Finance, Supply Planners, and Logistics teams.
- Remain informed on industry trends, obsolescence risks, and global supply chain dynamics affecting component availability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in high tech, grey market distribution, technical sales, or supply chain roles—preferably with a focus on excess inventory or asset recovery.
- Solid understanding of component lifecycles, cross-referencing, and sourcing methods (active, passive, electromechanical).
- Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, build relationships, and close deals.
- Strong analytical, communication, and customer-facing skills.
