Position Title: Senior Technology Specialist, Enterprise Platforms Developer (ECM)
Reports To: Senior Technology Manager, Enterprise Platforms
Department: Corporate IT
Term: Permanent Full-Time
Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Technology Specialist to join our Enterprise Content Management team! In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, configuring, developing, testing, implementing, maintaining, and modernizing Equitable’s capture, imaging, and workflow applications.

Experience with WorkFlow, Content Management and Document management are critical for this role.

What you will be doing:
- Lead design, development, and maintenance of medium to large workflow/automation requests and projects to support critical business objectives
- Create, enhance, and support complex technical configurations and coding of customized solution components within the ECM framework, including integrations with various major systems within the organization
- Engage and collaborate closely with our business partners, senior ECM team members and other IT groups to successfully design and implement quality integrated solutions
- Solve complex technical problems, track and provide various solution options with impact analysis
- Research new technologies and collaborate with the ECM Architect to make recommendation for the betterment of the business
- Be part of a dynamic team that provides technical support and monitors and maintains Enterprise Content Management systems for solid availability and performance
What you will bring:
- Strong technical design skills and ability to deliver complex solutions in a fast-paced environment
- Experience as technical lead on larger integrated implementations. Able to lead initiatives and drive the execution with a sense of urgency and ownership.
- Ability to analyze and document existing complex custom processes and propose options for streamlining existing code/configuration, if necessary
- Thorough knowledge of C# on both .NET Core and .NET Framework as well as experience in building and consuming REST APIs.
- In-depth, hands-on experience with software systems design and development for both on-premise and Cloud based solutions. Excellent knowledge of code management and build practices (e.g., DevOps)
- Solid operational support skills, including troubleshooting system health and communicating effectivity with business and other IT partners to define and resolve issues
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with focus and attention to detail
- Working knowledge or experience with Enterprise Workflow, case and queue management or automation solutions (e.g., Hyland’s OnBase and WorkView solutions, Kofax Capture solutions) would be an asset
- Working knowledge or experience with Microsoft Azure would be an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills – can articulate complicated ideas in a clear and friendly manner, technical information to non-technical audiences
- Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment. Strong interpersonal and partnership building skills; can reach out and engage a variety of individuals
- Strong working knowledge of networks, active directory, security practices and server infra-structure
- University degree and/or a combination of equivalent technical education and working experience
