Title: Tenant Improvement Project Manager
Salary: $83,318 - $90,034 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: permanent
Hours: 37.5 hrs, (flexibility between 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri))
Location: Metro Vancouver office location – Sinclair office on the ancestral Coast Salish Territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations. (Hybrid – minimum 50% in the office)
Bargaining Unit: PSAC Local 22000 (Public Service Alliance of Canada)
About The Role The vacancy is due to internal laddering of talented individuals which is a goal for the department. The ideal candidate will be motivated to develop their skills and seek advancement in their personal development while they deliver work. FNHA also offers personal development incentives, so employees remain relevant in their roles.
The successful candidate will find themselves managing various tenant improvement projects from scope and budget development through design, procurement and implementation. They will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure program requirements are being met while ensuring quality, value for money and timely work is produced. This position comes with the unique opportunity to occasionally travel and work with remote First Nation communities in their traditional territories and to participate in cultural work.
About You To be successful in this role you will have:
Education
- Bachelor’s or Associates degree in any planning or engineering discipline plus four (4) years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Building Trades Certification is an Asset.
Experience
- 4 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Building Trades experience a definite asset including the ability to read and understand project design drawings and other documentation, such as contractor prepared shop drawings.
- Minimum requirement for Class 5 drivers license.
Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of First Nations traditions, customs and etiquette.
- Knowledge of the concepts, practices, methods, and techniques pertaining to building design.
- Working experience with Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, MS Teams, Word, Excell, Powerpoint. (Experience with Digital Drafting programs such as ACAD is an Asset)
- Must demonstrate analytical & planning skills.
