- Prepare detailed investigation reports, provide testimony in proceedings, and engage with regulatory and industry bodies as needed.
- Monitor fraud trends, identify process improvements, and support the design of fraud awareness training.
- Coordinate with external experts, service providers, and law enforcement while ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory standards.
What you will bring:
- Post-secondary education and/or CIP/FCIP/CRM designation (completed or in progress).
- Minimum 5 years of insurance claims experience (property, farm, commercial, or auto injury) plus 3 years in an investigative role, OR advanced investigation experience in policing or government (fraud, financial crimes, or organized activity).
- Strong investigative, analytical, and evaluation skills, with proven experience in handling complex claims.
- Effective communication skills — verbal, written, and interpersonal — with the ability to manage conflict and convey findings clearly.
- Advanced knowledge of insurance fraud, claims handling practices, policy language, and relevant legislation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, open-source investigation tools, and comfort with data analysis (e.g., Power BI, FRISS).
- Valid Class G driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and decision-making abilities with high ethical standards and integrity.
