The Program Manager, Data and Analytics will collaborate closely with the Director, Administrative Services and Strategy, PGME, to advance program planning and operational excellence through data analytics and project leadership. You will also collaborate with other partners in Temerty Medicine and external stakeholders on opportunities for new techniques and innovations, such as machine learning, to advance data analytics systems and processes. You will provide project leadership across complex initiatives, strengthen data integrity processes, and deliver high-quality, reliable reporting. Leveraging your attention to detail and project leadership expertise, you will drive continuous improvement and strengthen data practices within medical education.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Conducting detailed data analysis to inform management decision making and program planning activities
- Analyzing statistical information and complex statistical reports to inform enrollment projections and planning
- Developing and implementing methodologies for data retrieval, analysis, and auditing to support accurate, high-quality reporting.
- Developing and implementing approaches to optimize the use of machine learning to advance reporting and data insights
- Identifying and resolving systemic data integrity issues, ensuring strong quality assurance and reliable data standards.
- Providing project leadership and coordination including overall project design, planning and implementing project phases, developing project schedules, and coordinating with stakeholders
- Directing the activities of a group of staff-appointed employees
Essential Qualifications
- Master's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum six years of experience with project management/coordination, preferably within an academic institution
- Demonstrated project management experience, including developing project plans and timelines, and coordinating stakeholders through all phases of implementation
- Demonstrated experience conducting advanced quantitative and statistical analysis to support program planning and senior-level decision-making.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting complex datasets and statistical reports
- Strong expertise in developing and implementing data retrieval, validation, auditing, and quality assurance methodologies to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Experience identifying systemic data issues and implementing sustainable process improvements to strengthen data governance and reporting standards.
- Experience and knowledge of machine learning tools and techniques to inform data insights, including natural language processing.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, learning management systems, student information systems (i.e. POWER, Elentra), and survey platforms (i.e. Qualtrics)
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms).
- Knowledge of Python and R
- Ability to manage projects and relationships in a fast-paced environment, with competing priorities and a complex stakeholder group
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively as a project team leader or member, fostering coordination and strong partnerships within the team and across external departments
- Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to use tact, discretion, maintain confidentiality, flexibility and sound judgment
