The Ministry of Social Services, Disability Programs Division – Community Living Service Delivery, has a leadership opportunity in the South region, for a highly motivated and innovative professional as Coordinator, Community Services.
Reporting to the Director, Community and Client Services, you will be responsible to provide coordination and support in the development and delivery of a continuum of programs through partnerships with community-based organizations (CBOs). Using a citizen-centred lense, you will provide support in: resource planning and development; facilitating collaborative relationships with colleagues, clients, families, CBOs, agencies and other ministries; supporting community and internal and external stakeholders initiatives; project and service area budget planning and support; contract development; quality assurance oversight; and monitoring community-based program delivery outcomes for clients.
This position will also coordinate the recruitment and selection of in-scope staff ensuring the selection process assesses critical skills for case management and supervision. This includes coordinating the overall staffing, assessment and selection process in addition to other human resource functions as assigned. Your primary goal will be to enhance community inclusion for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Typically, the knowledge and competencies for this position would be acquired through a Bachelor’s degree in a Human/Social Sciences, Social Work, Public Administration or Community Development, or other human services related degree with experience and knowledge in the Intellectual Disability sector. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
A valid driver's license is required, as travel will be required in order to attend meetings and functions away from headquarters.
