Capital Markets - Analyst/Developer - Specialty – 4 Location Address: Hybrid - 40 King Street W 23rd Floor, Toronto – 2 days/week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays – subject to change) Subject to change: 3–4 days onsite may be required based on business needs Contract Duration: ASAP to 10/31/2026 FYE Possibility of extension & hope for them to convert to FTE Number of Positions: 1 Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week Reason: New project

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
- 8+ years’ hands-on experience in Java (JDK 21+), Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
- 5+ years’ experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration
- 8+ years’ experience with multi-threaded and concurrent programming
- 5+ years’ experience with performance testing, monitoring and tuning (e.g. Dynatrace), and security scans (SAST, DAST)
- 3 + years of experience with Redis for distributed caching
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with C++ is a plus
- Proven experience delivering large-scale, end-to-end systems
- Experience in derivatives space within capital markets is an asset
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade application development and deployment
- Strong experience with Agile / iterative SDLC methodologies – JIRA/Confluence
- Experience with cloud technologies (GCP preferred)
- Experience from the client Scotiabank to be able to conduct a reference check would be helpful so they can hit the ground running

Average Candidate: Interested in long-term opportunities and potential conversion to a full-time role Demonstrates deep expertise in: Spring Boot Microservices architecture Multi-threaded and concurrent programming Kubernetes and containerized environments Works independently with minimal supervision Proactively identifies issues and drives solutions forward Brings previous experience within Scotiabank or a comparable banking environment Possesses strong Capital Markets and/or derivatives technology experience
