Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

1. 8+ years’ hands-on experience in Java (JDK 21+), Spring Boot, and microservices architecture
2. 5+ years’ experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration
3. 8+ years’ experience with multi-threaded and concurrent programming
4. 5+ years’ experience with performance testing, monitoring and tuning (e.g. Dynatrace), and security scans (SAST, DAST)
5. 3 + years of experience with Redis for distributed caching

Nice-To-Have Skills:

1. Familiarity with C++ is a plus
2. Proven experience delivering large-scale, end-to-end systems
3. Experience in derivatives space within capital markets is an asset
4. Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade application development and deployment
5. Strong experience with Agile / iterative SDLC methodologies – JIRA/Confluence
6. Experience with cloud technologies (GCP preferred)
7. Experience from the client Scotiabank to be able to conduct a reference check would be helpful so they can hit the ground running
