It’s our goal to help our customers provide excellent services to their customers. This position is a full-time position for an experienced Landscaping Assistant Crew Lead. Job Summary - As the Landscaping Assistant Crew Lead, you will be the driving force on our job sites. You will assist a Site Supervisor in managing a small team, coordinate daily tasks, and work hands-on alongside your crew to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to our high standards. This role requires strong technical landscaping skills and excellent leadership abilities. Key Responsibilities: Lead, motivate, and train a crew of 2–4 landscapers on daily project tasks. On-Site Assistant Management: Review designs, manage daily schedules, and ensure materials and equipment are ready. Hands-on Execution: Perform high-quality landscaping work, including soft scaping, sodding, planting, hardscaping, retaining walls, interlocking stone and grading work. Safety & Quality Control: Enforce safety protocols, ensure proper tool usage, and maintain a clean, organized job site. Client Interaction: In the absence of the Site Supervisor, act as the primary on-site contact for clients, answering basic questions and maintaining professional communication. Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the daily care, cleaning, and safe operation of company trucks, trailers, and machinery. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum of 5 years of professional landscaping experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or lead hand role. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of soft scaping, hardscaping, grading, and plant identification. Equipment Knowledge: Proficiency operating, skid steers, mini-excavators, and various power tools is a strong asset. Driver’s License: Valid G driver’s license with a clean abstract (a DZ license and the ability to tow a trailer is highly preferred). Physical Fitness: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
