We are seeking dedicated and passionate High School Teachers for many subjects to join our educational team, The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment that fosters student engagement and academic success. This role requires a strong commitment to teaching, the ability to adapt lessons to meet diverse student needs, and the capability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects.
- Provide individualized support for students with varying academic abilities, including those in special education.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding academic performance and behavior.
- Utilize technology and educational software, including Microsoft Word and Excel, to enhance learning experiences.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
Skills
- Must be an Ontario Certified Teacher.
- Strong written communication skills for preparing lesson plans, reports, and correspondence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for managing classroom data and documentation.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students of varying backgrounds.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish are a plus for engaging with diverse student populations.
- Experience or knowledge in teaching Math is preferred.
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques to maintain an effective learning environment.
- Understanding of special education practices to support students with unique learning needs.
