Lead the business operations that power policing excellence across Ontario
As the Bureau Commander, Business Management Bureau, you will provide enterprise-wide leadership across the OPP's finance, facilities, and procurement portfolios, critical functions that ensure officers, civilians, and auxiliary members have the resources, infrastructure, and equipment they need to keep communities safe. This executive role sits at the heart of operational readiness, public safety, and corporate strategy. The OPP's $1.8 billion budget, 500+ facilities, and 10,000 members depend on corporate service excellence.
You will guide a team of senior managers and technical experts, provide stability during key succession transitions, and build a workplace grounded in the OPP's values:

Working closely with the Chief Corporate Services Officer, and as a member of the OPP Executive Command Team, you will influence business decisions that have a direct and visible impact on frontline policing, organizational credibility, and public trust.
You will be required to work on-site at OPP General Headquarters and travel to various locations as part of your job responsibilities.
Meet Your New Team
The Office of the Chief Corporate Services Officer is a newly established executive-level command within the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), designed to strengthen the organization's strategic capacity. This command brings together the Business Management Bureau and the People Operations Bureau, creating a unified structure that supports enterprise-wide planning, resource optimization, and workforce development. Operating at the intersection of operational readiness and corporate strategy, the Command provides integrated leadership and organizational change. It plays a critical role in enabling the OPP to deliver on its public safety mandate while navigating complex fiscal and human capital opportunities.
In this role, you will work in close partnership with Michelle McRae, the Chief Corporate Services Officer. Michelle holds 19 years of service with the OPS, including 14 with the OPP. She has served in various areas including compensation and benefits, human resources system modernization, organizational effectiveness, workplace discrimination and harassment prevention, operational stress injury prevention, wellness, staffing/human resources program development, and most recently finance, facilities, and procurement. She demonstrates a commitment to diversity initiatives, including the Diversity Career Champions and Civilian Career Mentoring programs, and is dedicated to continuous learning.

About the job
As the Bureau Commander, Business Management Bureau, you will:
- provide executive leadership across the OPP's finance, facilities, and procurement portfolios;
- promote strong, collaborative leadership within the Bureau's management team, advancing organizational capacity, stability, and a high-performing culture;
- lead enterprise planning, including annual and multi-year resource allocation and controllership to support operational and strategic priorities;
- oversee major capital and modernization initiatives, such as training centre modernization, detachment builds, and infrastructure renewal;
- direct centralized procurement and supply chain strategy, ensuring transparent, defensible, and timely acquisition of critical equipment, technology, and services; and
- represent the OPP at senior executive tables, fostering strong relationships with labour partners, sector committees, ministry partners, and policing stakeholders to support operational readiness and frontline impact
