Source Atlantic is looking for a Service Business Manager, located in Saint John, NB. This key leadership role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service group. The position ensures the achievement of financial, operational, and human resources targets while fostering a safe, efficient, and positive work environment. The manager will lead a team to meet revenue, margin, and profit goals, maintain optimal inventory levels, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
Functional Knowledge
- Manage daily operations, staff, and customer service.
- Ensure the branch meets performance goals and complies with all policies.
- Oversee budget management and achievement of performance KPIs.
- Maintain safe equipment, procedures, and training.
Business Expertise
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and vendors.
- Work with teams to quote and close sales.
- Promote rigging, conveyor, and hydraulic products and services.
- Understand customer contracts and terms.
Leadership
- Guide and support team members.
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Communicate goals, train staff, and collaborate with managers.
- Handle performance reviews and staffing recommendations.
- Ensure excellent customer service and loyalty.
Problem Solving
- Resolve customer service issues and coordinate operations.
- Troubleshooting problems.
- Understand customer needs.
- Communicate clearly with the team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in branch or operations management, preferably in a service or industrial setting
- Strong understanding of budgeting, financial metrics, and operational performance
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to manage customer relationships and resolve issues effectively
- Experience with quoting, sales, and contract management
- Familiarity with rigging, belting, hydraulic systems, or related services is an asset
- Proficiency in analyzing data and implementing strategic improvements
- Ability to foster a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment
