About the role

Working with one of our top financial clients, this position calls for a Sr Core Java Developer who can translate business needs into technical requirements, write robust and efficient code, mentor junior developers, and ensure strong development standards are consistently upheld.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, QE Leads, and BSAs to understand business requirements and translate them into clear technical requirements.
- Plan, design, and document comprehensive technical specifications to guide development work.
- Design, develop, and configure applications to meet business and technical requirements.
- Write scalable, testable, and efficient code while setting strong coding standards for the team.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Mentor junior developers and support their professional development.
- Enforce software quality standards through testing, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with cross-functional teams to align solutions with business objectives and deliver high-impact applications.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry practices to drive innovation within the team.
Must-Have Skills
- 8+ years of Java Fullstack development experience
- 5+ years of Java and RESTful API software development
- 3+ years of experience working in an Agile environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team-mentorship abilities
Nice-to-Have
- 3+ years of software development experience within banking
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot
