This is a unique opportunity for an experienced accountant to make a tangible impact in a growing global software company. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting revenue recognition under IFRS 15, contributing to the analysis and application of accounting standards on complex global implementation contracts. You’ll be deeply involved in ensuring the accuracy and insightfulness of our monthly financial reporting, collaborating with colleagues across regions to maintain consistency, compliance, and clarity in our numbers.

Key Deliverables and Responsibilities
- Global Revenue Accounting : Oversee revenue recognition across international entities, ensuring compliance with IFRS 15 and alignment with complex customer contracts.
- Project-Based Accounting : Prepare and review journal entries related to specific projects, applying knowledge of contract terms and relevant accounting standards to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
- Journal Entries : Prepare and post complex journal entries across international entities, including payroll-related transactions, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Financial Reporting : Prepare and submit timely, accurate actuals to our parent company, and assist with the preparation and submission of forecasts and budgets to support planning and performance tracking
- Month-End Close : Contribute to a timely and accurate global month-end close, supporting reporting efficiency in a dynamic regulatory and business environment.
- Audit Support : Prepare detailed working papers and assist with internal and external audits, serving as a key contributor during year-end financial reviews.
- Global Tax Compliance : Prepare documentation for tax filings, including working papers and backup schedules. Assist finance managers with preparing and submitting global tax returns.
- Ad Hoc Projects & Strategic Initiatives : Take ownership of special assignments, reporting requests, and cross-functional finance projects in coordination with the Assistant Controller and Controller.
- Coaching and Mentorship : Support the professional development of junior finance team members by offering guidance, reviewing work, and sharing technical expertise—fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
Experience and Knowledge
- 3+ years of full-cycle or public accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent
- CPA designation or CPA candidate nearing program completion
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, with demonstrated practical experience applying Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Experience with ERP systems, with familiarity in Business Central 365 considered an asset.
- Knowledge of corporate tax regulations is an asset.
- Solid understanding of annual audit requirements and experience preparing working papers.
- Experience identifying and implementing accounting process improvements is an asset.
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to write clear, concise and formal business communications
- Well-organized and highly motivated with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet multiple deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented and committed to a high quality of work and accuracy
Base salary of $85,000 - $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
