Profile (Overview of job)
The 4-month engineering intern with the focus on reliability and sustainably of the Dash series aircraft family within our In-Service Engineering Systems & Technical Support team, you will assist in conducting detailed technical investigations, drivers of Out of Service aircraft issues.
The proposed position includes deep dive investigations of airline data, maintenance and dispatch analysis and preparation of reports and deliverables to support De Havilland engineering in making key improvements to support our customers.
You may also be required to liaison with internal De Havilland departments and external equipment suppliers, as well as our airline customers or other stakeholders.
You may also be required to Developed a data analysis application using Python and SQL to extract, process, and analyze large datasets from a relational database.
Key Responsibilities
- Data analyzed will be used to improve the drivers affecting dispatch reliability during maintenance and once on the gate. Report will accurately determine trending issues facing our fleet.
- Prepare reports and presentations to support customer meetings, conferences, regional reviews, working groups and other initiatives
- Assist in the development and programming tools that allow efficient access to data and reports.
Qualifications
- Current aerospace engineering student bachelor’s degree.
- Preference to students who have completed at least 3 years of undergraduate education.
Skills
- MS Office Experience required.
- Excellent MS Excel skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
