Site: Belleville General Hospital, Prince Edward Country Memorial Hospital, Trenton Memorial Hospital, Quinte Health Care North Hastings Hospital
Hours: Various
Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours
Pay Rate: $19.13/hour

Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain a professional, visible, and alert security presence
- Greet, assist, and direct visitors and staff as needed
- Ensure the safety and security of clients, property, and assets
- Perform interior and exterior patrols and respond to incidents or emergencies
- Document and report all security events and investigate routine incidents
- Conduct patient watches and support hospital staff as needed
- Enforce hospital policies, parking, and smoking by-laws
- Manage access control, key control, and monthly safety inspections
- Work effectively independently and in a team environment
- Carry out other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Valid Security License for Ontario
- Valid Ontario G drivers license
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Proof of (minimum) double COVID-19 vaccination
- A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)

- Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, and Rubella are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.

- 6+ months of security experience required; 1+ year preferred
- Previous healthcare security experience considered an asset
- Must be able to commute to Kingston for pre-deployment training
- Must have a reliable, well-maintained vehicle
- Must be able to train and work at all four QHC facilities (Belleville, Trenton, Picton, Bancroft)
- Must be able to be clean shaven to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)

- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
