We are currently hiring for a Director to lead the RPAS Contractor Management Office. This position will be based at our office in Ottawa, Ontario.
This newly created position is responsible for supporting the planning, managing, and technical performance of GA-ASI's subcontractors for continued airworthiness and sustainment support to the Canada Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) program, with locations in Ottawa, Greenwood, and Comox, Canada.
- Oversees all phases of program(s) from initiation through delivery. Provides direct on-site company representation during planning and execution phases of the Canada RPAS sustainment effort. Typically accomplishes objectives through subordinate managers.
- May be responsible for decisions where erroneous actions could cause substantial expenditure of time and resources.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will be responsible for leading GA Canada's Contractor Management Office (CMO) for GA-ASI's Canadian RPAS Program overseeing personnel across four locations.
Responsible for all aspects of GA Canada's operations and customer support at GA Canada's operated office and Canadian military operational locations. Develop and execute the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the CMO and sustainment and training support to the Royal Canadian Air Force and Department of National Defense (DND) and executing effectively and efficiently against the AOP.
- Brings expertise or identifies subject matter experts in support of multi-functional efforts in process improvement, data capture and analysis, infrastructure support, tool ownership and compliance with procedure , etc.
- Directs the implementation and acceptance of enterprise software systems, system integration projects/programs and/or business systems and processes.
- Directs the provision of central expertise, support, and control for developing program management and business system best practices/templates and providing training/mentoring to teams.
- Directs the development of robust implementation support for new and updated business processes, systems, and tools.
- Serves as a central governing resource to review/audit adherence to relevant organization/business system processes, procedures, and methodologies.
- Directs the data management support to Programs, ensuring processes, procedures, and tools are in place to provide consistent, reliable, and timely information to Programs.
- Ensures timely delivery of CDRLs.
- Ensures that leadership and excellence is maintained by directing and participating in the planning, recruiting, selection, retention, and development of required function staffing.
- Collaborates with Functional Executives to ensure proper and timely program resource allocation considering Program, GA Canada and its affiliates, and Customer factors.
- Collaborates with internal customers to identify business challenges and inefficiencies and work to resolve issues and streamline processes, procedures, and tools.
- Advises business groups by providing strategic direction to initiative prioritization, integration, and resource application.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of GA Canada and its affiliates.
- Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
- Total compensation offered: 170,000 to 200,000 CAD, depending on experience
