RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical: analytics, portfolio mix, innovation & campaign execution, category/sales readiness support

  • Category Management: assist the department lead analyzing category sales, pricing, promotion, and competition utilizing internal and external data sources to recommend portfolio solutions based on insights & implications
  • Innovation: actively participate line extensions and new products – flavours, pack formats, limited edition offerings, implement flawless plans, including development of project briefs, business case, product decisions, communication plan, and sales collateral for sell-in
  • New product launches: own end-to-end coordination of new product launces for retail. Coordinate timelines, packaging process, sales launch kits, product creative assets and other launch activities as assigned.
  • Tactical Campaign Execution: execute agreed upon product marketing plans throughout year. Liaise with vendors, monitor timelines, and effectiveness of tactical plans. Recommend corrective action as needed.
  • Assist in developing and executing the annual marketing plan
  • General Project Execution: coordinate execution across key departments, monitor timelines and effectiveness of tactical plans. Identify key building levers, risks in advance, and recommend actions.
  • Support Marketing and Sales annual planning with through analysis (product, innovation, pricing, distribution)
  • Build and maintain trade presentations, sales collateral, pricing tools, and customer-specific POS materials, brand SKU matrix
  • Plan and execute high-impact tradeshows and customer events (booth design, logistics, product sampling, lead capture)
  • Maintain, update and coordinate packaging files for all products as needed
  • Act as the day-to-day marketing link with Sales team

Leadership & Communication: cross-functional leadership, vendor management, risk/project updates to Manager

  • Collaborate with team members and manager to understand, align, and activate against priority projects
  • Work closely with department lead on understanding innovation pipeline for brand/portfolio
  • Frequently communicate opportunities and risks to all areas of organization
  • Strong business communications skills and ability to influence stakeholders
  • Exhibit leadership and accountability; has the ability to move a team towards a common goal through a respectful, collaborative approach.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • University degree in business, commerce or equivalent
  • A professional with 3-4 years of consumer product brand management experience, preferably in the food industry
  • Highly organized and master of time management, leading to consistently achieving results while staying resilient in tough circumstances
  • High level attention to detail is a non-negotiable
  • A proven executer with initiative, flexibility and can-do attitude who has the courage to step up and address complex issues in a respectful and collaborative manner
  • Proven project manager who can juggle multiple projects timelines and deliverables without dropping the ball
  • Adaptable, can tackle competing priorities resourcefully, and learns quickly from experiences
  • Influencer and skillful collaborator among peers, with experience in cross-functional environment
  • Outgoing, enthusiastic, and engaging along with a passion for natural food products
  • Good understanding of the CPG market, and dynamic between company, customer as well as consumer
  • Proficient in data analysis and use of Microsoft Excel. Experience with Nielsen or SPINS considered an asset

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • This position requires successful completion of a clear background check prior to start date
  • Required to be flexible on work schedule to meet business needs of all shifts
  • In Office position
  • Will eventually be required to represent the company at events on some weekends and evenings, as the job requires
  • Must have valid passport, future travel may be required within Canada and the United States
  • Salary starting at $65,000
