About the role

The Plant General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective production. This role requires strategic leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize resource utilization, and maintain high standards of quality and compliance. The Plant General Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align plant activities with corporate goals and customer expectations. They will also manage budgets, staffing, and operational performance metrics to achieve business objectives. Ultimately, this position is critical in fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and operational excellence within the plant.

Responsibilities:

  • Fully manage overall plant operations, including but not limited to production, process engineering, quality, and equipment, ensuring the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Assist the Group management in developing the company’s annual business plans and goals, and supervise and evaluate the implementation progress.
  • Provide guidance and support for project management, monitor project milestones, and ensure that project outcomes meet expectations.
  • Oversee and control various cost items, including logistics and transportation costs, labor costs, maintenance expenses, scrap rates, and consumables.
  • Support the plant in resolving existing issues and continuously improving operational capabilities.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with local government authorities.

To be a qualified candidate you must have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering or related disciplines; proficiency in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of operational management experience in automotive parts manufacturing, with full-scale plant management experience; new plant especially cross-region new plants setup experience is a strong plus.
  • Familiar with the production and manufacturing processes of automotive injection molding, or sealing parts, or extrusion, or stamping.
  • Strong stress tolerance, adaptability, and a high level of commitment and initiative.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with strong leadership capabilities and a collaborative team spirit.
  • Geographic flexibility, with willingness to travel or accept assignments to other countries or regions.
