About the role

The Temerty Centre for Therapeutic Brain Intervention Research Program is seeking applications for a Research Assistant 1 for a full-time 8 month contract. The incumbent will join a productive team in one of the world’s leading centres in treatment, research and training related to brain stimulation therapies. In addition to clinical treatment trials, the team also specializes in neurophysiology studies aimed at providing novel insights into brain function in individuals with psychiatric disorders.

Reporting to the Research Manager, the Research Assistant 1 will primarily provide support and assistance to the research team including data entry and coding, working with databases, ensuring accuracy and data quality is maintained and archival research records. Other duties include pre-screening of research participants, scheduling participant visits, obtaining informed consent, administration of questionnaires, accompanying participant to MRI scans and verifying study case report forms for accuracy and completeness. You will provide regular updates to the Manager and other duties will include the provision of administrative support to the team. The candidate must be able to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment. You will support a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.

This position is located primarily at 1025 Queen Street West.
