Intern Design, Digital Mock-Up (DMU) manager, Structures Integration (Summer 2026)
About the role
What are your contributions to the team?
- Manage aircraft Digital Mock-Up (DMU)
- Validate DMU against the physical Aircraft on the Final Assembly Line (FAL.
- Review structure and system installation conceptual layouts for the complete Airframe on new and existing aircraft programs.
- Closely interface with stress, systems, interiors, and support functions such as thermodynamics, mass properties, etc.
- Participate in preliminary design studies and layouts using 3D modeling.
- Provide technical solutions to resolve design or manufacturing issues.
- Support weight savings ideas.
- Support directly other engineering and operations departments.
- Support design and program reviews with partner/suppliers.
- Provide status for project and functional management.
During your internship, you will learn:
- How to use CATIA & Enovia, NX & Teamcenter
- Develop communication skills in your team and with other internal functions
- Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to review project progression

You are familiar with aerostructures design engineering
-
You are enrolled in bachelor’s degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering

You have knowledge and/or strong interest in aircraft structures and/or systems installation: configuration, preliminary sizing, design for manufacturing, detail design (sheet metal, machined parts, piping, component assembly, GD&T), material and processes, certification requirements, weight control and industry design standards.

You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are an energetic person with have a high sense of commitment, are willing to accept responsibilities and act independently in a high-pressure partner/supplier team.
