Lara Exploration (LRA:TSXV) and CRM Global Capital (private company) seeks candidates for the position of Corporate Development Associate, in Toronto.

ABOUT LARA EXPLORATION

Lara Exploration. (Lara) is a Canadian-registered company which trades on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol “LRA”. Lara is a well funded exploration company following the project generator business model which aims to minimize shareholder dilution and financial risk by developing projects in joint ventures with partners who earn into projects in return for equity at the asset level.

Lara recognizes that exploration is inherently risky and seeks to mitigate that risk by developing a portfolio of exploration projects in different commodities and in different jurisdictions. The Company’s current geographic footprint is South America. Lara enters into partnerships to advance exploration projects and to share risk, while maintaining the opportunity to benefit from transformational discoveries and mining developments.

Lara Exploration has an experienced management team and Board of Directors with proven track records of developing projects and exploration companies in a range of commodities across the globe. In the summer of 2016, Chairman Miles Thompson, CEO Dr. Simon Ingram and VP Corporate Development Christopher MacIntyre were part of the team that spearheaded the transaction between Reservoir Minerals and Nevsun Resources, where Nevsun acquired Reservoir Minerals for more than $500MM.

In South America, the Company currently has a portfolio of assets which include gold, silver, copper, lead and zinc exploration projects. In Lara’s portfolio of projects, the Planalto copper-gold project located in Brazil, is approaching the stages of prefeasibility.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The candidate will work alongside the President of CRM Global Capital and the Vice-President Corporate Development of Lara Exploration. The role will expose the candidate to a wide range of different responsibilities including Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Business Development, and Financial Evaluation. The position provides exposure into many elements of the financial community: broker, analyst, and investment banking careers through the breadth of work that will be expected of the candidate; and the technical community within the industries in which CRM works. Furthermore, the candidate will have the opportunity of meeting numerous C-Suite Executives from various companies. What is your typical day? There is no typical day. The candidate will be required to be comfortable working both independently and with the understanding that each day will bring a variety of different responsibilities. As the associate may be required to have one on one meetings and co-ordinate his/her own projects, communication skills will be a must.

Typical Responsibilities

Build financial models and perform corporate evaluations on companies in a variety of industries (particular focus is done on the mining sector) Research the macroeconomics trends behind commodities and the factors affecting them Create marketing materials related to the company and macroeconomic trends Determine through research potential investing opportunities for the firm Perform marketing duties to generate attraction toward companies of interest Oversee the distribution of public materials through the web interface Manage the design and implementation of the corporate website Build and oversee email marketing campaigns Provide administrative support to the principal Represent the company at international conferences Prepare reports, research papers and presentations

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

A well-organized, self-motivated/managed individual who requires little supervision, and has experience or at least an interest in global financial markets with a desire for a career in corporate development, corporate finance/investment banking. Candidate must demonstrate strong initiative and be able to make phone calls to investors or potential investors.
