Overview Hexagon is looking for a System Analyst - Digital Signal Processing to join our Defense team. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of algorithms to support our Anti-Jam technology. These algorithsm include anti-jam, direction finding, Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) receivers, sensor fusion, and research into solving real-world current electronic warfare counter measures. This role offers the opportunity to work with a highly skilled, cross-functional team on new and current product designs. You will gain a big-picture view of the complete life cycle of ouranti-jam products. You will be deeply involved in significant aspects of the overall design, including RF design and performance optimization. This role requires collaboration with a cross-functional product development team to identify and mitigate risk, and to ensure that the design meets its functional, quality, schedule, and cost targets. The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based on-site in Calgary, AB. Responsibilities As a Digital Signal Processing Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for: Performing system analysis through modelling, simulation, as-built characterization, test-to-fail, targeted performance trade-off analysis, etc. Assessing cross-domain dependencies, including the simulation and modelling of system components to allow data-driven decisions for optimal system performance Investigating system impairment through simulation, analysis, and Design of Experiments (DoE) Actively participating in pre-development and early engineering activities Exploring and participating in the derivation of system, hardware, and software performance requirements Providing consultation to product life cycle support teams through analysis of characterization and sustaining data for our fielded products Contributing to the continuous improvement and application of systems analysis processes, best practices, and tools Developing analysis tools through scripting, graphing, and other means Gaining an understanding of the system through development of test/characterization plans Determining meaningful approaches to test set-up, test automation, test execution, data collection, and data analysis Conducting design and test reviews with a cross-functional design and test team Presentation of test/analysis results, including recommendations Qualifications Must-Have: B.Sc. or M. Sc. in Engineering or equivalent education 5+ years experience in a high technology, product development environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong debugging and problem solving skills Must be able to achieve Canadian Controlled Goods security status Key Success Factors: Practical and innovative thinking Curiosity and willingness to research aspects of complex systems Analytical problem-solving skills with systems thinking and attention to detail Strong collaboration, facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team Technical research abilities with the aptitude for sharing of information and expertise Strong systems, hardware, and software architectural design and analysis skills Nice-to-Have: Previous wireless communication, Radio Frequency (RF), and/or Digital Signal Processing (DSP) experience would be an asset Proficiency in C++ programming, Matlab/Simulink simulation and modelling, and Perl, Python, or other scripting languages Hands on experience using specialized lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, complex signal generators, GNSS constellation simulators, and data logging applications with requirements management and architectural design tools Not sure if you meet all the qualifications for this role?
