About the role

City: Toronto

What you will do: At Cineplex, food and film go hand in hand — and at Outtakes on Yonge (OTOY), we’re serving up more than just meals, we’re creating memorable experiences. We’re looking for an energetic and hands-on Manager to lead our culinary operations, inspire our team, and deliver exceptional guest experiences at this flagship location.

As the Manager, you’ll play a key role in bringing our culinary strategy to life — supporting the Director of Culinary in shaping the guest experience, driving operational excellence, and maintaining the highest standards in quality, safety, and service.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of culinary and front-of-house employees with a hands-on, people-first approach.
  • Manage daily operations including ordering, deliveries, and cost controls to ensure seamless execution and profitability.
  • Champion a positive guest experience through attentive service and consistently high-quality food presentation.
  • Oversee the OTOY delivery program, ensuring timely, accurate, and brand-aligned service.
  • Recruit, train, and schedule cast members in alignment with labour targets and business needs.
  • Manage food and labour costs through effective inventory management, cost control, and forecasting.
  • Ensure adherence to all company standards and compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Valid Food Safe Certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of Front-of-House management experience in a casual dining environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of Back-of-House management experience, including from-scratch cooking and recipe execution.
  • Proven ability to manage inventory, control costs, and meet labour targets.
  • Strong leadership skills — able to engage, coach, and inspire a team of 5-8 in a fast-paced environment.
