The Big Picture
Our team is rapidly growing and we are currently seeking a Biomedical Researcher to support early‑stage product development. This role is focused on clinical, procedural, and market research to inform new product concepts and development priorities.
The successful candidate will work closely with Research & Development to evaluate disease states, medical procedures, current treatment approaches, and unmet clinical needs. Conduct in depth research on disease states, clinical workflows, and medical procedures

Review and synthesize peer reviewed medical and scientific literature

Analyze current standards of care and identify gaps in existing treatment options

Research procedure volumes, patient populations, and care settings

Distill complex clinical and scientific information into clear, actionable insights

Communicate findings through written summaries, presentations, and discussions

Support definition of unmet needs and early product opportunity assessments

Collaborate with product development teams to inform concept generation and design inputs
Your Unique Expertise
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to independently find, read, and interpret medical and scientific literature
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large volumes of information
- Ability to clearly explain and “teach” clinical concepts to product development teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort working with ambiguity and early-stage concepts
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a cross-functional team
- Practical experience working with external vendors to develop new materials and custom manufacturing equipment
Asset Skills:

Background in life sciences, biomedical engineering, health sciences, or a related field

Experience in medical devices, healthcare, or life sciences research

Familiarity with upstream marketing, product strategy, or early stage product development

This role has a base salary range of $65,000 CAD to $86,000 CAD. Final offers are determined based on individual skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors.
