Our Production Technicians are the backbone of success. You make sure we produce high-quality engineered wood products safely and efficiently – creating the materials that build homes and communities. We’ll start you in an entry-level role and provide all the training you need to succeed.
We’re hiring Production Technicians to join our Heffley Creek Division in Kamloops, BC. This is a full-time, shift-based opportunity within the United Steelworkers (USW) union. With approximately 250 employees, our Heffley Creek mill produces engineered wood products like plywood and laminated veneer lumber (LVL) safely and sustainably for customers around the world.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

Demonstrated commitment to working safely at all times.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work rotating shifts (including evenings, nights, and weekends) in a 24/7 operation.

Ability to work independently with little supervision, while also being an effective team player.

Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is an asset.

Experience operating a forklift, loader, or other mobile equipment is an asset.

In this role, you will:

Work as part of a high-performance team to safely and efficiently produce engineered wood products. You’ll carry out your duties independently while collaborating with others to meet production goals.

Perform a variety of manual and operational tasks to keep production running smoothly. This includes maintaining a clean work area, handling materials, and supporting different stages of the manufacturing process – all while minimizing safety risks.

Identify and troubleshoot problems in your area. If equipment issues or process hiccups arise, you’ll analyse the situation and work with your Team Lead and Maintenance crew to resolve issues quickly and get back on track.
