Production Trainer
Kitchener, Ontario
Responsibilities
- Deliver effective functional and hands-on training for new and existing employees in production and assembly operations.
- Identify training needs by assessing employee performance, strengths, and development areas.
- Serve as a backup for Supervisors on assembly lines when required.
- Act as a floater on the assembly line to support operational needs.
- Analyze service complaint trends, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain a safe and healthy training environment by adhering to all safety, quality, and ESD standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Training Coordinator and department leaders to align training priorities.
- Provide regular feedback and progress updates on employee training outcomes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality performance.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management, in line with the Training Grid

More About You
- Elementary or secondary education required.
- Previous work experience in hearing aid manufacturing.
- Experience as a trainer preferred.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills; 5S certification a plus.
- Strong communication skills and cultural awareness.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Skilled at knowledge transfer and creating training reports.
- Creative thinker with excellent computer skills and SAP knowledge.
- Professional working proficiency in English; additional languages a plus.
- Good hand-eye coordination and ability to produce detailed training documentation
A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova
