About Nextime Nextime is an early-stage startup building a platform that makes planning and organizing social experiences easier and more meaningful. We're looking for students or individuals who are passionate about cybersecurity and secure software development and want hands-on experience building secure, real-world applications in a startup environment.
About the Role As an Application Security Developer, you will help strengthen the security of our applications while also contributing to the development of software products and services. You'll work closely with our technical team to identify risks, implement security improvements, and build reliable, secure solutions. This role is ideal for students or individuals who enjoy solving complex problems, thinking critically about security, and taking initiative in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities Review applications and systems for security vulnerabilities Assist in designing and implementing secure application architectures Develop security-focused features and enhancements Conduct security testing and risk assessments Collaborate with developers to remediate security issues Contribute to software development projects beyond security initiatives Research emerging security threats and mitigation strategies Help promote secure development practices across projects
Qualifications At minimum have two-year experience at university degree or above Strong interest in cybersecurity and secure software development Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities Eagerness to learn and explore emerging technologies and security concepts
Preferred Technical SkillsSecurity Application security principles Secure coding practices Vulnerability assessment and testing Authentication and authorization systems API security Threat modeling Familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 Basic penetration testing knowledge Development React or React Native Python Database management Front-end and back-end development Firebase API development and integration Optimization algorithms
