Pay Range: $75,691.00 - $95,521.00

Work should be so much more than just a job you do to earn a paycheque. And at SGI, it is.

Of course, we offer the essentials – a great pension and excellent employer-paid family benefits. But we also provide a fun work environment that’ll leave you feeling happy and accomplished at the end of the day. And we’re a big company, which means there’s lots of opportunity for career growth.

Now that we’ve (hopefully!) sparked your interest, here’s some good news: we’re hiring!

We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to join our team who has a passion for innovation and an interest in shaping the future of digital experiences.

We hope you consider applying if you:

  • Have a strong command of end‑to‑end UX design, from design thinking and user research through to information architecture, interaction design, UI design, and usability testing—and know when to lean into each method to solve the right problem.
  • Bring creativity and curiosity to your work, generating thoughtful, innovative design solutions that balance user needs, accessibility, and business goals.
  • Are comfortable collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, product partners, and developers, clearly articulating design rationale and guiding decisions with empathy and confidence.
  • Enjoy working through complex challenges and turning them into simple, intuitive, and meaningful user experiences.
  • Take pride in being a mentor and guide—supporting UX Designers through coaching, feedback, and knowledge‑sharing, while helping elevate the overall quality of design work.
  • Value continuous learning, stay current with UX trends and best practices, and bring a user‑first mindset to everything you design.

The requirements for this role include a four-year degree in a relevant field of study, such as Business, Social Sciences, or Information Technology , along with a Certification in UX design and a Certification in design thinking , and 3 – 5 years’ senior level experience in user experience, interaction design, or digital media design. But we don’t want you to worry about checking every box! Leave the screening to us. If you’re a quick learner and a team player, we'd love to hear from you!

Please note: candidates are asked to include a portfolio (or portfolio link) as part of their application so we can better understand their experience, design approach, and the work they’re most proud of.

What else do we offer?

  • Work-life balance - how does an extra day off every two weeks sound?
  • Personal development - we invest in employee training and provide education funding to keep our work environments healthy and our teams thriving!
  • Awesome people - Seriously. We hire the best people and you get to work with them.

We strive to be the kind of employer that employees recommend to a friend. We want our employees to want to come to work, and we look forward to your application!
