Summary Biosphere Eco-Cities Canada (BECC) is looking for passionate volunteers to help turn ideas into impactful environmental and community projects.
Description What you’ll be doing
Join BECC’s Project Development Team! About BECC BECC is a national charity that supports development of Biosphere Eco-Cities (BECs) in Ottawa, Toronto, Brampton, Edmonton, and Vancouver.
What You’ll Do: Leadership
Lead the end-to-end design and development of projects
Guide and mentor team members in research, idea generation, and proposal writing
Receive project ideas from other BEC teams
Lead team to turn project concepts into full project proposals
Work closely with the finance team to develop and review project budgets
Ensure proposals meet requirements and organizational standards of potential funders
Stakeholder Coordination
Liaise with other BEC teams and partners on project development
Administrative; Reporting Responsibilities
Oversee documentation, proposal tracking, and submission timelines
Prepare and present progress updates to BECC board
Ensure administrative compliance and quality control across all project development activities
Plan and coordinate monthly team meeting
Strategic Planning
Identify new funding opportunities and align project ideas with organizational priorities
Strategize potential follow-up projects
What We’re Looking For: Experience in project planning or development
Strong organizational and communication skills
Enthusiasm for sustainability, innovation and community impact
