Effective early 2026, The Department of Paediatrics is seeking a full-time permanent faculty position for a staff medical geneticist at Michael Garron Hospital (MGH)-Toronto East Health Network, 825 Coxwell Avenue, Toronto, ON which is a community hospital that serves a diverse population across the lifespan: affiliated with the University of Toronto.

The Department of Paediatrics at MGH (in collaboration with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Department of Medicine) is building a brand new general medical genetics clinic to serve our diverse population and manage care across the lifespan and provide comprehensive clinical genetics services encompassing neonatal, paediatric, prenatal and adult indications. The successful candidate would join a team with a genetic counselor and administrative staff.

The successful candidate must hold an MD degree, should hold or be eligible for certification in Medical Genetics and Genomics by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or the Canadian College of Medical Genetics or equivalent (e.g. American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics), and hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Ontario.

MGH serves as a training site for the University of Toronto’s post-graduate training in Paediatrics, Obstetrics/Gynecology, and Internal Medicine. The successful candidate should have a strong aptitude in post-graduate medical teaching. The successful candidate will be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Toronto. Rank and salary per annum will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
