Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Battery processor is responsible for operating the battery processing line, data entry and forklift movements. Key Responsibilities: · Processing batteries · Transport raw materials, scrap and recyclable materials throughout plant using a forklift · Data entry using Microsoft Excel and Greentrax · Clean work areas and equipment · Perform other duties as assigned by management Knowledge, Skills and Key Competencies: · Completion of secondary school · Must be able to perform labour intensive duties (i.e. heavy lifting is required) · Must have strong verbal and written communication skills · Forklift experience an asset · Physical strength is required for manual material handling materials · Long standing, walking and some minimal climbing of ladders and stairs · Wearing and maintenance of required PPE including respirator mask Working Conditions · You must be able to stand for long periods of time · You may be exposed to environmental conditions such as hot, cold, dirt, dust, wet or noise · You must be able to work independently and as part of a larger team environment · You must be able to communicate in English both verbally and electronically Work Schedule: This position will operate in an industrial setting that operates 5 days per week. You may be required to work additional hours and/or outside of regular hours to meet customer requirements. This is a safety sensitive position.
