Based in Prince George, you will maintain and repair our fleet while supporting
operations throughout Northern BC. This role includes travel to regional locations, including Terrace, as operational needs require.
This is a full-time position working from Monday through Friday, with shifts
between 6:30 am and 4:30 pm. Overtime and on-call work may be required. We offer a competitive compensation package, excellent benefits, and a hiring bonus for successful candidates.

- Competitive wage: $45.00 per hour

- $5,000 hiring bonus, paid in two installments after 3 months and 6 months of successful employment

Knowledge & Skills Required
- Journeyperson Technician Certification (Heavy Duty)
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record (maximum 3 demerit points)
- Experience diagnosing, servicing, and repairing heavy duty diesel equipment and commercial vehicles
- Valid Commercial Vehicle Inspection (MVI) license considered an asset
- Strong diagnostic, analytical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret service manuals and use computer based diagnostic equipment
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and travel to regional operating locations as required
- Availability to work overtime and participate in on-call rotations as operationally required
- Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and delivering high quality workmanship
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose, examine and investigate to determine causes of defective operation of vehicle components with the use of computer diagnostic equipment
- Determine proper course of action to facilitate vehicle repair, maintenance, adjustment and component replacement
- Maintain, adjust, and/or repair all bus systems, components, and parts to ensure the operational fitness of vehicles
- Operate buses to diagnose component failure or move buses when required
- Schedule and perform Government Inspections
- Communicate and consult with all levels of employees
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Maintain accurate records of all service, repair, and other work
- Diagnostic tests as needed
- Follow and comply with all health, safety, environmental, and HR procedures
- Attend company training programs as required
