The Maintenance Mechanic - HVAC ensures the efficient operation and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC equipment, compressors, chillers, and gas appliances. Responsibilities include inspections, repairs, and monitoring the Energy Management Control System (E.M.C.S.). Standby duties may be required.

- Start-up and shut-down of building equipment and machinery
- Replace filters (all applicable types)
- Inspect and replace machinery belts
- Align pumps and couplings
- Perform maintenance and alignment of fans and air handling units
- Maintain compressors, including filters and dryers
- Conduct general mechanical maintenance tasks
- Maintain and service gas appliances up to 680,000 BTU
- Perform standby duty as needed
- Operate and maintain chillers, heat pumps, air conditioners, air handling units, and cooling towers
- Conduct air balancing
- Monitor and maintain the Energy Management Control System (E.M.C.S.)

Education Requirements Degree or Diploma in:

Work Experience Requirements
- 3 years of HVAC experience in a commercial setting
- Utilities/Construction/FMO/Service/Projects/Mechanical & Electrical
Skills, Abilities, And Other Requirements Proficient knowledge and understanding of:
- Blue print reading
- Organization and time management
Proficient User Of
- DSI platform
- Must have a valid G driver’s license
- Must be have or be able to receive and maintain a Level II security clearance with the Government of Canada.
