About the role
Project Manager Location: Saskatchewan Employment Type: Full-Time | Site-Based
Hiring on behalf of our client We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager on behalf of a leading construction organization delivering complex civil infrastructure and building projects across Saskatchewan.
This is a site-based leadership role responsible for overseeing all phases of project delivery from preconstruction through execution ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Lead project teams and promote a strong culture of safety, collaboration, and accountability Mentor, coach, and support direct reports to ensure high performance and professional growth Conduct performance reviews and support ongoing team development Maintain strong team morale and foster a positive working environment
Project Delivery & Execution Lead full project lifecycle from preconstruction through construction and closeout Develop project execution plans, schedules, and cost strategies in collaboration with stakeholders Support estimating and preconstruction efforts including cost planning, value engineering, and constructability reviews Oversee tendering, subcontractor selection, and contract award processes Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls to ensure profitability targets are met Monitor progress, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as required
Stakeholder & Contract Management Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams Participate in contract negotiation, execution, and administration Manage RFIs, shop drawings, change orders, and project documentation Ensure alignment between design intent, scope, schedule, and cost objectives
Site & Operational Excellence Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements Lead project meetings, scheduling sessions, and coordination activities Drive continuous improvement in project delivery methods and constructability practices Resolve project challenges proactively to maintain schedule and budget performance Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project performance metrics
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent field experience 5+ years of progressive experience in a Project Manager or senior project leadership role Proven experience delivering civil infrastructure projects ranging from $5M–$50M+ Strong background in preconstruction, estimating, and project execution Experience working in joint venture or multi-stakeholder project environments is an asset Demonstrated leadership ability with experience mentoring and developing teams Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
