At our facility in Etobicoke you can develop your full potential, sustainably, by applying your expertise within the Packaging sector / Recovery + team as the Project Leader - Operations :

The Project lead, Business Analyst will be a key leader in the development of special projects within the organization with a main focus on Data analysis. The individual will be able to transform project in data and/or dashboard using mainly PowerBi.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Work on various data extraction, transformation visualization projects for various internal customers
• Write, test and debug SQL and DAX code
• Implement SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions as required to support the reports.
• Design, build and deploy dashboards and reports to communicate KPIs and metrics for all business areas
• Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that inform strategic recommendations

Project Management

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and ensure data accuracy and relevance

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage insights and recommendations for successful project outcome

• Lead ad-hoc deep dives and analyses to understand organizational performance, identify gaps, and prioritize opportunities for improvement

• Document and maintain business processes, workflows, and standard operation procedures to ensure clarity and consistency across teams

• All other duties, as assigned

• A bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Engineering, Data Analytics, etc.) or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence or related field
• Experience managing user access, workspace configurations, and overall security/governance in Power BI
• Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
• Knowledge of project controls, analysis, or junior project management preferably in the manufacturing services industry
• Must be able to work well in an unsupervised environment and as part of a project team
• Advanced Excel and reporting dashboard creation skills e.g., Excel, Power BI skills a must
• Ability to explain technical concepts to executives and collaborate across departments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to adapt to change and exercise judgment in dynamic environments
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
