About the role
TheWellfield Geological Techniciansupports drilling, completions, and wellfield operations through accurate geological data collection, sampling, and QA/QC processes. Working closely with the Wellfield Geologists and drilling crews, this role ensures that core handling, logging support, and data management activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved procedures.This is a rotational, site-based role based in Northern Saskatchewan.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with wellfield drilling and completions programs through sampling, probing, and geological data collection
- Handle, organize, and document mineralized core, samples, and assay data
- Support geological logging and maintain accurate field records and databases
- Perform QA/QC checks on drilling and sampling activities
- Assist with inspections and field observations to ensure adherence to approved procedures and safety standards
- Support wellfield operations and reporting through accurate data management
- Perform other duties as required to support drilling and wellfield activities
Requirements
You are detail oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in an active drilling environment. You take pride in accurate data collection and organisation and understand the importance of quality control in supporting wellfield development and production. In addition, you bring:
- A degree in Geological Technology, Geoscience, or a related discipline
- 1-3+ years of field or drilling-related experience uranium or mineral exploration experience is considered an asset)
- Experience with core handling, sampling, and geological data collection
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with QA/QC procedures
- Proficiency with MS Office and data entry systems
- A demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance
