About the role

True North Sports + Entertainment is looking for a dependable and motivated individual to join our team!

As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will perform all aspects of facility cleaning and maintenance as required at Canada Life Centre during the evenings and overnights.

What to be excited for in this role:

  • During event cleaning: follow procedures and cleaning routines as scheduled for sweeping/mopping, emptying trash cans and replacing liners, wiping down surface areas, clean-up spills and fluids, and ensuring general cleanliness and quality standards are met.
  • Restock supplies as needed, manifest and report large scale repair needs and ensure the general upkeep of the venue from a maintenance perspective.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to deal with various situations that may occur.
  • Interact professionally and positively with fans, team members, and coworkers to foster a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Inspect assigned work area prior to and during event, looking for safety hazards, facility issues, housekeeping needs, personal injuries, etc.
  • Complete all assigned tasks within the guidelines and provide regular progress reports Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager.
  • Attending operational staff meetings and other meetings as required.
  • Perform other duties as required that align with the responsibilities of the role and the needs of the organization.

What we need from you:

  • High school diploma, general education degree, or currently enrolled in classes.
  • Must have a knowledge of materials, equipment and methods used in custodial work.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision, must be able to take initiative.
  • Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Must work well with all levels of staff, must be a team player.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to work in an environment with multiple and competing demands, while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Reliable, punctual, and regular in attendance.
  • Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time (4-6 hours per shift) and lift tables, chairs, etc.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
