Established in 2019, Cultivator runs two key program portfolios. The first is our core group of programs - START, BUILD, GROW, SCALE - focused on building and strengthening the Saskatchewan tech ecosystem. The second is the AGTECH ACCELERATOR, a global program located in the heart of Canadian agriculture and recognized by many as one of the top accelerators in the world. The AGTECH ACCELERATOR delivers world-class programming and provides unparalleled access to farmers, funders, industry, and founders, with goals centered on growing Canadian agtech innovation, attracting the best ag innovation to Canada, and supporting the adoption of agtech solutions.
We are looking for a dynamic, collaborative, and motivated person to join us as Program Manager for the AGTECH ACCELERATOR at our College Avenue location in Regina, Saskatchewan. In this role, you will holistically manage Cultivator’s agtech portfolio by developing, refining, and delivering programming and objectives aligned to the overarching Cultivator strategy.
The bigger picture We’re looking for a dynamic, collaborative, and motivated person to come on board as our Program Manager, at our College Avenue location in Regina, Saskatchewan. In this role, you will be responsible for holistically managing Cultivator’s agtech portfolio by developing, refining, and delivering programming and objectives aligned to the overarching Cultivator strategy.
How You’ll Spend Your Time

Strategic program development

Research, develop, and update programs regularly to provide impact and value to startups.

Develop and deliver robust, high-caliber programs that align with the standard for top accelerator programs based on an understanding of founder, environmental and market needs.

Program delivery

Actively source and recruit high caliber candidates to participate in Cultivator programs.

Drive participant engagement in Cultivator program and ecosystem activities.

Ensure a “founder-first” mentality through all program development and execution.

Provide informal leadership to Program Coordinators in executing program deliverables.

Produce program reports for stakeholders.

Program project management

Establish processes to ensure complete and accurate documentation and tracking of metrics for programs and services.

Effectively manage program portfolio budgets.

Relationship management and ecosystem development

Develop, maintain, and grow a highly curated network of expert mentors to provide guidance and support to Cultivator startups.

Representing Conexus and Cultivator at events in the business and technology communities.

Ideally, you have a strong understanding of agriculture and network with agtech startups. You also have strong insight into the challenges of growing and scaling ag innovation. Your ability to lead with a “founder-first” mentality ensures the delivery of top-tier experiences for founders.
The Experience You Bring
- Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline
- 3-5 years’ experience in a small business or entrepreneurial-related field
- 5 years’ experience in a program manager or similar role
- Experience in managing business incubator and accelerator programs is an asset
- Agriculture experience is ideal
Salary range: $79,540 - $99,420 with a 10% Short term incentive target
