5on2off, Monday to Friday, Occasional weekend coverage required
Overtime Eligibility
Overtime exempt
Key Responsibilities
- Review the analysis of equipment performance to help identify performance trends
failure patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead the implementation and requirements of preventive and predictive maintenance
programs, including data collection, condition monitoring, and basic analysis.
- Direct a team and perform root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend corrective actions
for equipment failures with company stakeholders
- Oversee maintaining accurate records of equipment maintenance history and reliability
data using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Conduct reliability and maintenance meetings, providing input on equipment
performance and assisting in developing improvement plans.
- Conduct field inspections of equipment to gather data on condition, performance and
identify failure modes
- Review reports and presentations on equipment reliability, including key
performance indicators (KPIs) and performance trends.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure adherence to reliability-focused
maintenance strategies and practices.

Engage in safety and regulatory compliance activities related to reliability and maintenance.

Explains difficult concepts and persuades others to adopt a point of view, supports
position with evidence, research or experience gained in similar situations.
Qualifications and Skills
Education
Minimum:
-
Bachelor of Applied Science degree
-
Membership or eligibility for immediate membership as a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia
Preferred:
- Mechanical or electrical engineering discipline
Experience
Minimum:
-
8+ years of experience in reliability or maintenance engineering
-
Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs and asset management software
-
Knowledge of reliability methodologies such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM)
-
Leadership qualities
Preferred:
- Asset management certification (CRMP, MMP, CRL etc..)
Skills
-
Sound technical knowledge with mechanical and/or electrical systems in an industrial work setting or port terminal environment.

Proven understanding of reliability engineering principles, including root cause analysis (RCA), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and condition monitoring.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.

Willingness to mentor and develop technical expertise in reliability engineering team
-
Great communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors
-
Knowledge of safety regulations and maintenance best practices is preferred.
