Job Description We are seeking qualified candidates for Machine Operators and Forklift Operators for our New Annan location for future needs. The successful candidate will need to be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who is willing to work with us. This is an opening of upcoming needs. Annual Salary: $20.55/hr - $26.74/hr

Responsibilities

  • Box opening and bag opening
  • Stack boxes onto equipment and onto pallets
  • General clean up around work station
  • Ongoing clean up and sanitation of the work area
  • Assist in packaging, clean up, etc.

Health and Safety Responsibilities:

  • Using or wearing the protective equipment designated by the accident prevention policy.
  • Follow safe work procedures.
  • Reporting immediately to their supervisor any unsafe conditions or acts.
  • Reporting all accidents or injuries to your supervisor immediately.

Food Safety Responsibilities:

  • Follow good manufacturing practices and HACCP rules.
  • Participate in food safety and quality programs of the facility within the specific role
  • Reporting of food safety, food security and quality concerns to the immediate supervisor
  • Participate in sanitation activities

Qualifications

  • Be available for 12 hour shifts rotational shift
  • Be hard working and reliable
  • Able to work alone for extended periods of time
  • Work in a safe, efficient manner
  • Follow personal hygiene rules
  • Physically capable of repetitive lifting and occasional lifting of up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand/Walk for 12 hours
  • Squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, use of ladders, stairs
  • Occasional lifting up to 50lbs/23kg
  • Occasional carrying up to 50lbs/23kg
  • Pushing up to 50lbs/23kg
  • Pulling up to 50lbs/23kg

  • HACCP
  • Personal Hygiene
  • WHIMIS and Chemical Training
  • Food Safety
  • Lifting and Pulling
  • Lockout Training
  • Onsite equipment training
  • GMP
