We are hiring for a Bartender, Wildlight Kitchen + Bar at our location in Vancouver, BC near the UBC area.

Up to 40 hours per week available.

For this position, you must be 19 years of age or older.

You will be responsible for:

  • Greeting and interacting with all guests and explaining all specials, promotions and food items on the menu.
  • Efficiently preparing drinks to industry and brand standards.
  • Knowing the menu syllabus and being able to prioritize allergies or dietary restrictions.
  • Recommending food pairings with wine and beverage options.
  • Performing responsible alcohol service as per company and brand standards.
  • Utilizing POS systems, key functions on terminal, and cash out procedures.
  • Ensuring guests needs are met, including keeping beverages full, providing additional condiments and food items and following up with customers during their meal.
  • Completing day-to-day bar preparation for garnishments and batching cocktails.
  • Adhering to sanitation and safety standards while maintaining a clean and well-organized work area.
  • Assisting other servers and team members as needed.

You have:

  • A minimum of 2 year of bartending experience.
  • A Serving it Right Certificate.
  • Knowledge of beer, wine & spirits, food and beverage preparation, service standards and etiquette.
  • A Food Safe Certificate (considered an asset).
  • Proficiency with computers and applications including POS systems (considered an asset).

  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail oriented with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.

Compensation Details:

$17.85 - $20.00

The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
