Security Guard Mobile Shift Supervisor

As a Mobile Shift Supervisor, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of safety and security within our organization. Your leadership and problem-solving skills will be key in ensuring smooth operations and efficient communication across sites.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Mobile Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading their team, troubleshooting and ensuring officers are following company & client policies and procedures. They are also a main point of contact for all officers in the Kamloops Branch and assist the management team by overseeing the branch outside of office hours.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Supervise the officers in the Mobile department.
- Assist management with oversight of the branch after hours and on weekends.
- Assist with finding coverage when employees book-off last minute and covering shifts and patrols as necessary.
- Ensure all officers have completed all necessary training. This includes new employee training, keeping the training manual updated, and training the team on all operational changes.
- Monitor performance and behavior of officers and follow the progressive discipline steps when standards aren’t being met.
- Audit officers’ daily paperwork—incident reports, shift pass-ons, shift hazard assessments, etc.—to ensure everything is completed and written properly.
- Monitor the driver cameras on LYTX and coach officers on their driving infractions and escalate to the Mobile Manager when appropriate.
- Assist with fleet maintenance and repairs and notify the Mobile Field Supervisor or Manager of any issues.
- Conduct necessary equipment tests and audits, safety inspections, maintain records, prepare incident reports, and other safety incident documentation.
- While on shift, the Mobile Shift Supervisor will respond to all emergencies and take command of the situations as they pertain to the contract until a Paladin Manager can attend.
- Lead shift changes and safety hurdles and discuss any events that may have happened.
- Check emails and address the questions and issues brought forward for the department.
- Other duties as required or assigned to them by the Mobile Field Supervisor or Manager.
SIGNING BONUS!We are offering a$500 Signing bonusto successful candidates with a Valid Security License hired for this role.
*Bonus is subject to terms, including a 6 Month minimum commitment to full-time work in this position.*
YOU'RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:
-Have a Valid BC Security License (required) -Have an unrestricted Class 5 Driver’s License, with a clean abstract (required)
- Intermediate First Aid (OFA 2) is considered an asset
- Possess strong knowledge of Kamloops and the surrounding areas
- Are confident driving in a variety of road conditions
- Represent Paladin with professionalism and strong customer service skills
- Communicate effectively with clients, emergency personnel, and the public
- Can multitask, work under pressure, and make sound decisions in emergencies
