About the role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Industrial Millwright Mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key activities
Optimize various machinery and mechanical equipment (pumps, conveyors, belts, fans utilizing hand tools and testing instruments).
Inspect completed work and recommend corrective actions to ensure optimal equipment performance.
Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Estimate labour and material requirements for mechanical and electrical projects.
Order and manage required parts, tools, and materials with management approval.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, manuals, and instructions to install and align equipment.
Disassemble, repair, adjust, and reassemble machinery components as needed.
Perform routine maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and equipment inspections.
Maintain equipment in safe and reliable operating condition.
Complete work orders accurately and ensure proper documentation and follow-up.
Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure quality and efficiency.
Assist in continuous improvement of maintenance practices and procedures.
Operate production equipment when required.
Required training and experience
Diploma from an accredited educational institution in a related mechanical field.
5 years’ experience working as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic.
Experience in a food and beverage manufacturing environment (an asset).
Thorough knowledge of all applicable safety legislation.
Dual License (not essential) would earn you an additional premium.
Skills sought
Strong problem solving, planning and organizational skills.
Strong mathematical aptitude.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Proficient at troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining and servicing all plant equipment.
Excellent communication skills. Must be fluent in English (read, write and speak).
Specific condition to the position:
Valid Millwright Trade License 433A.
