In collaboration with Enoch Cree Nation, the Clinical Director will execute on the following duties and responsibilities:
- Provide clinical consultation, direction and supervision of clinical staff for all aspects of treatment.
- Ensure policies and procedures are in place to address administrative, clinical and staff issues pertinent for a residential treatment program and outpatient services in keeping with Accreditation Canada standards.
- Promote and model an environment that fosters continuous learning for staff. Identify learning needs for staff and implement and evaluate educational initiatives that meet patient/staff needs.
- Manage employee relations including the approval of hires, coaching and mentoring, disciplinary issues and terminations.
- In consultation /collaboration with the ED, define and implement the organizational supports and structures required for the delivery of excellent patient care.
- In consultation /collaboration with the ED, physician partners and interdisciplinary team, develop and implement clinical services, functional and strategic plan for the program.
- Provide a progressive and proactive approach to clinical practice.
- Assist in the identification of developing new markets. Meet with community partners, conduct training sessions, speak at conferences, etc.
- Ensure patient records are maintained according to hospital, professional and legislated requirements through Medical Records Committee and random audits.
- Champion the continuous quality improvement (CQI) program which emphasizes the evaluation of services across the organization.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A member of a College of Regulated Health Professionals and an experienced clinician with an advanced clinical degree including a Ph.D., or MSW, or MSN
- Five years mental health and addictions experience required
- Five years progressive management/leadership experience required
- Demonstrated strategic leadership, team building and mentorship skills in a complex environment
- Demonstrated superior analytical, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communication, consulting, decision making and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated commitment to learning and continuous quality improvement
