Who you are
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
- Foundational knowledge of data analysis techniques and tools
- Technical Skills: Practical experience with SQL (Structured Query Language), Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets and at least one programming language for data analysis (e.g., Python or R). Previous experience working in Salesforce, or Salesforce reporting an asset
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or Power BI) is preferred
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical findings to business stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work without constant supervision

What the job involves
- We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Data Analyst Intern to join our team. This role is a hands-on opportunity to apply data science and business intelligence techniques to a critical operational area: the Contact Center
- The intern will use data to understand customer contact drivers, identify inefficiencies, and propose actionable solutions to reduce unnecessary contact volume and minimize negative impact on customer experience
- Data Collection and Preparation: Assist in collecting, cleaning, and processing large datasets from various sources, including CRM, call logs, and customer feedback systems
- Performance Analysis: Develop and refine operational metrics, reports, and dashboards to monitor contact center performance and key drivers of contact volume (e.g., repeat calls, call time, and common reasons for contact)
- Identify Root Causes: Conduct diagnostic and descriptive analysis to find patterns, trends, and root causes of high-impact contact events and recurring customer issues
- Reporting and Presentation: Document analysis processes and methodologies, and translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and stakeholder-facing reports and visualizations for non-technical leadership and cross-functional teams
- Process Improvement: Partner with business operations teams to recommend and influence business solutions and process improvements based on data-driven insights
