As we continue to grow, we are looking for an ambitious, outgoing, and results-driven Sales & Business Development Manager to lead the next stage of our growth. This is more than a sales role. We are looking for a leader who can build a high-performing sales culture, develop people, create structure, and drive sustainable growth. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for generating new business, strengthening existing client relationships, developing and leading our sales team, and implementing the strategies, systems, and processes that will support JPD Staffing's long-term success. Position Details Location: Vancouver, BC Position Type: Full-time, Permanent Work Arrangement: Office-based position with regular travel throughout the Lower Mainland for client meetings, jobsites, networking events, and industry functions. Reporting To: General Manager Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Strategy Develop and execute JPD Staffing's sales and business development strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives. Build, mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team. Recruit, onboard, and train new sales professionals as the company continues to grow. Create and implement scalable sales processes, playbooks, and best practices. Establish clear KPIs, sales targets, performance expectations, and accountability measures. Conduct weekly sales meetings, one-on-one coaching sessions, and pipeline reviews. Foster a culture of professionalism, collaboration, integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement. Work closely with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities and help shape the company's long-term vision. Business Development Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across the construction, industrial, manufacturing, logistics, and skilled trades sectors. Develop strategic account plans for key clients. Build strong relationships with owners, executives, project managers, procurement teams, estimators, and key decision-makers. Conduct regular client visits and jobsite meetings to strengthen relationships, better understand client needs, and identify opportunities to grow our partnerships. Attend construction industry events, trade shows, networking functions, association meetings, career fairs, and client events to promote JPD Staffing and generate new business opportunities. Represent JPD Staffing professionally and continue strengthening our reputation throughout British Columbia. Client Relationship Management Manage and grow existing client accounts by building trusted, long-term partnerships. Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts. Deliver exceptional customer service through proactive communication, responsiveness, and consistent follow-up. Collaborate closely with Operations and Recruitment to ensure an outstanding client experience from the initial conversation through project completion. Ensure client satisfaction remains one of the company's highest priorities. Sales Operations Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline reporting. Analyze sales performance and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Collaborate with leadership on pricing strategies, proposals, and contract negotiations. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and overall sales performance. Provide regular reports and updates to senior leadership on sales performance, market opportunities, and team progress. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: A proven leader with experience in business development and sales management. Passionate about building relationships and earning clients' trust. Outgoing, confident, and comfortable networking and meeting new people. A strategic thinker with a hands-on approach. An exceptional communicator and negotiator. A coach who enjoys developing people and building winning teams. Highly organized with strong planning and time management skills. Results-driven, accountable, and committed to continuous improvement. Experienced in developing sales systems, KPIs, and scalable processes. Proficient with CRM platforms and sales reporting. Experience within the staffing, recruitment, construction, industrial, or related industries is considered a strong asset. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or sales leadership. Previous experience leading or mentoring a sales team. Valid Class 5 driver's licence with the ability to travel throughout the Lower Mainland. Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is considered an asset. Professional sales or leadership training is considered an asset. What Success Looks Like Within your first 12 months, you will: Increase revenue through new client acquisition. Strengthen relationships with existing clients, resulting in increased retention and repeat business. Build and develop a motivated, high-performing sales team. Implement a structured and scalable sales process across the organization. Improve CRM utilization, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline management. Increase JPD Staffing's visibility and reputation within the construction and industrial sectors. Help position JPD Staffing as one of British Columbia's most trusted staffing partners.
