J.D. Barnes Limited is searching for a CAD Technologist to join our team! As a CAD Technologist you will be responsible for preparation of CAD work involving detailed files, survey interpretation, and a variety of reference data. This is a full-time, on-site position, located in Toronto, ON. This job posting is for a vacant position.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Import and process field data
- Prepare Legal and Topographic Surveys
- Provide calculations to field staff
- Interact with field staff to ensure proper configuration of data/sketches and conformity with local By-Laws, Registry Office information and client specifications
- Liaise with project supervisors regarding plan details
- Maintain accurate records, timesheets and other files pertaining to the job
Requirements and Qualifications
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Education in Survey, Civil or CAD program, or 2+ years of Land Surveying or CAD experience is preferred
- Detail oriented, with the ability to read and understand Architectural and Structural design drawings
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to learn new field and office surveying techniques
- Experience with Microstation is an asset
Key Job Details
- Expected Compensation Range: $43,500 - $56,000 commensurate with skills, education, and experience
- Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
- Paid Overtime
- On-site 100%
