Job Description

In your new role as our Day Porter, you will support the Environmental Services team daily with a variety of tasks that support events as well as day to day operations. As a member of our housekeeping team, you will always provide the highest quality of customer service, while maintaining the premises in a clean and orderly manner, including:

  • Cleaning offices, common areas, washrooms, halls, food service areas, and any other areas that may require attention

  • Cleaning desks, ceilings and vents, walls, blinds, kitchenettes, microwaves, washrooms, furniture, windows, floors and carpets

  • Dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, polishing floors and replenishing supplies

  • Emptying trash and garbage containers

  • Lift and handling up to 40lbs

  • Support Event Set Up as needed - tables, chairs as well as tear down after events

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • One year of experience preferred in previous EVS and Porter, Janitorial environments
  • Preferred to have Building Service Worker certificate
  • Ability to use tools and equipment and to perform the physical aspects of the job
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills, willing to go beyond the basics
  • Ability to work under supervision and follow standard procedures, and compliance with all health and safety standards
  • Personal and professional integrity and demeanor
  • Ability to complete a Venerable Sector Criminal Background Check
