Play MPE is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Music Distribution Coordinator to join our Customer Success Team . The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, committed to delivering excellent customer service, and a fan of music who is eager to learn about the technology underpinning music promotion around the globe.

Our Music Distribution Coordinators support Play MPE’s clients, including record labels, radio promoters, and independent artists, by preparing and managing promotional music releases and providing best-in-class customer support. This role acts as Play MPE’s first point of contact with our customers, acting as the “face of the company” to many of our clients. This role offers the opportunity to interact with some of the most important record labels worldwide, as well as to work directly with emerging and early-stage artists.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as the first point of contact for artists, promoters, labels, and clients, responding to emails and handling inquiries
• Creatively assemble release emails for new music, including artist background, song details, and promotional information for radio and promotional distributions
• Manage client invoicing and maintain accurate billing records
• Record and manage accurate data in CRM
• Ensure music assets, metadata, and release information are accurate and complete
• Ensure campaigns are executed smoothly and on schedule
• Provide ongoing administrative and client support to ensure smooth communication and release processes
• Assist clients with platform questions and troubleshooting
• General customer service and other clerical duties as needed

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Adaptable and ready to jump in where needed
• Passionate about learning how the music industry works

THE PREFERRED CANDIDATE MAY HAVE:

• Previous music industry experience (internships, campus radio, record labels, promotion companies, etc.)
• Experience with a CRM (extra points if Zoho specifically)
• Experience with office productivity software (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, etc)
• Experience working with digital customer service/ticketing systems
• Experience working with customer service/customer success teams

Salary: $44,000-$47,000
